Hello friend!

I am so glad you are here! This is a place for all of us looking to reconnect with nature, with each other and thrive where we are planted even if it is in the middle of the concrete jungle.

My grandmother passed down to me some of the crafts of the yesteryear (knitting, embroidery). I liked experimenting with baking desserts. I grew up on home cooked food and very little processed food.

Fast forward a few decades. I am still cooking from scratch, but also venturing into new territories like baking breads, making basic cheeses and yoghurt at home and even curing bacon.

This evolution sparked a curiosity about the origins of my food and a desire to take control of what goes on my plate.

I found satisfaction in savoring a meal with ingredients I produced myself, at least in part, and in mastering skills our grandparents took for granted.

There have been setbacks, but I’ve learned that each one is a stepping stone to more experiments and more learning.

If you join me on this journey, you’ll find yourself experimenting with seeds, ingredients and containers and maybe a craft project or two. Together, we’ll learn to rely less on stores and more on ourselves, honing skills that bring us closer to nature and to each other.
