Ingredients

  • 8 slices of white or whole grain bread
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped (optional)
  • 1 medium cucumber thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for spreading optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cream Cheese: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and fresh dill (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Assemble the Sandwiches: Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture onto one side of each slice of bread. Layer the cucumber slices on half of the bread slices, then top with another slice of bread, cream cheese side down.
  • Trim and Cut: If desired, trim the crusts off the sandwiches for a neater presentation. Cut each sandwich into quarters or halves, depending on your preference.
